Kacimi
Pour son quatrième album « Panache », KACIMI s’est entouré des genevois Augustin von Arx et Léonard Persoz (Musiciens de Magic&Naked et du Roi Angus). Un album qui laisse place à des synthés rêveurs, des basses moelleuses et une production tout en douceur. Habitué aux guitares et à la pop garage (The Rebels of Tijuana), KACIMI délaisse ses habitudes en composant pour cet album une majorité de morceaux au piano, habillé délicatement par Augustin von Arx et Léonard Persoz, qui produisent entièrement l’album. On vogue, à travers ces 9 titres, dans un univers chatoyant d’electronica et de pop seventies. Sur des poésies à la fois absurdes et existentielles de Romano Bianchi, son binôme pop, Kacimi se laisse aller dans ses rêveries et narrations avec une voix claire et précise. Enregistré dans la campagne genevoise au milieu d’un jardin de bambous et d’un potager revigorant, « Panache » intervient dans la discographie de KACIMI comme un véritable lâcher prise où le plaisir fut l’élément central dans le processus de création.
Après avoir multiplié les expériences en groupes ces vingt dernières années à travers de nombreux disques, formations et concerts (The Rebels of Tijuana, Le Roi Angus, ...), KACIMI a sorti en 2015 son premier album solo "Cookies & Motoriders" suivi de "Gyrophare" en 2020 et “Couronne d’Ephémères” en 2023. Trois albums salués par la critique (Rock & Folk, Rolling Stone, Les Inrockuptibles, Shindig, RTS, FIP, France Inter...). Disques entremêlés de différents singles ("Décroche", "Il fait si chaud ce soir", "Les Rois"...) aux nombreuses collaborations depuis 2020 (Lionel Limiñana, Nick Wheeldon, Alexis Fugain, Blot, L’Eclair, Joël Virgel, Audrey K...). La musique de KACIMI nous plonge, dans une lecture actuelle et moderne, au cœur d'une pop sixties française à la fois cinématique, yéyé, beat et poétique ou se mêlent du rhythm n'blues psychédélique, du rock n’roll garage à des ballades amoureuses suspendues au temps.
Ayant signé ces dernières années différentes musiques pour des séries, publicités, évènements (Emily in Paris, You’re The Worst, Orangina, Festival de Cannes...), KACIMI gère le label Le Pop Club Records avec lequel il a sorti près de 80 références (Le Superhomard, Nick Wheeldon, Wendy Martinez...) et s'est spécialisé ces dernières années dans les musiques de films français avec les rééditions vinyles de "Coup de Tête", "Les Tontons Flingueurs", "Un Singe en Hiver", "Le Magnifique".

For his fourth album, ‘Panache’, KACIMI has teamed up with Geneva-based Augustin von Arx and Léonard Persoz (musicians with Magic&Naked and Le Roi Angus). The album features dreamy synths, mellow bass and smooth production. Accustomed to guitars and garage pop (The Rebels of Tijuana), KACIMI breaks with his usual habits by composing most of the tracks for this album on piano, delicately dressed by Augustin von Arx and Léonard Persoz, who produce the entire album. These 9 tracks take us into a shimmering world of electronica and seventies pop. Set to absurd yet existential poems by Romano Bianchi, his pop partner, Kacimi lets himself drift off into his reveries and narrations with a clear, precise voice. Recorded in the Geneva countryside in the midst of a bamboo garden and an invigorating vegetable patch, ‘Panache’ stands out in KACIMI’s discography as a real letting go, where pleasure was the central element in the creative process.
After working with a number of groups over the last twenty years, playing with a variety of records, groups and concerts (The Rebels of Tijuana, Le Roi Angus, etc.), KACIMI released his first solo album « Cookies & Motoriders » in 2015, followed by « Gyrophare » in 2020 and « Couronne d’Ephémères » in 2023. Three critically acclaimed albums (Rock & Folk, Rolling Stone, Les Inrockuptibles, Shindig, RTS, FIP, France Inter…). These albums are interspersed with various singles (« Décroche », « Il fait si chaud ce soir », « Les Rois »…) and numerous collaborations since 2020 (Lionel Limiñana, Nick Wheeldon, Alexis Fugain, Blot, L’Eclair, Joël Virgel, Audrey K….). KACIMI’s music plunges us, in a contemporary and modern interpretation, into the heart of French sixties pop, at once cinematic, yéyé, beat and poetic, where psychedelic rhythm n’blues and garage rock n’roll mingle with love ballads suspended in time.
In recent years, KACIMI has written music for a number of series, adverts and events (Emily in Paris, You’re The Worst, Orangina, Cannes Film Festival, etc.).
