Evariste – Il Ne Pense Qu’à Ça (1967-1970) – LP
Product information
Born Bad Records – BB153 LP
Released by Born Bad Records, this album brings together tracks by Évariste, alias Joël Sternheimer, an unconventional French singer from the 1960s. Blending garage rock, psychedelic pop and offbeat French chanson, he stands out for his provocative humour, irreverent lyrics and non-conformist energy. Inspired by the musical effervescence of his era, Évariste combines sonic experimentation with lyrics that are often absurd or satirical, a far cry from the conventions of French pop. This compilation shines a light on a unique and little-known figure from the French underground scene, whose daring style and free spirit will appeal to fans of forgotten gems, 1960s rock and musical curiosities. An original record that bears witness to the unbridled creativity of the French counter-culture of the late 1960s.
