Anglo Atlantic – AAVNY007 Unofficial Release The performance took place on 20 June 1965 at the Palais des Sports (Paris) during The Beatles’ European Tour. There were two shows that day: an afternoon show (≈ 3:00 pm) and an evening show (≈ 9:00 pm). The evening show was broadcast live by Europe 1 radio, and also recorded for French television (channel 2). During this Paris show, the band tried speaking in French on occasion (introducing songs in French, for instance), which was notable and appreciated by the audience. The performance is valued by Beatles fans for its energy: it’s very much in their touring era style — rock’n’roll covers, crowd interaction, shouting fans, fast transitions.
