La compilation « Herbes Folles » propose une sélection de titres inédits de KACIMI. Elle est composée d’enregistrements live et studio réalisés avec son backing band La Mécréance, de mixes alternatifs et de raretés sur la décennie 2015-2025. Une période prolifique pendant laquelle KACIMI a énormément enregistré dans des formules très variées et dans différents studios, voir à la maison.

La musique de KACIMI nous plonge, dans une lecture actuelle et moderne, au cœur d`une pop sixties française à la fois cinématique, yéyé, beat et poétique ou se mêlent rhythm n`blues psychédélique, rock n’roll garage à des ballades amoureuses suspendues au temps flirtant avec l’electronica.

The compilation ‘Herbes Folles’ offers a selection of previously unreleased tracks by KACIMI. It consists of live and studio recordings made with his backing band La Mécréance, alternative mixes and rarities from the decade 2015-2025. This was a prolific period during which KACIMI recorded extensively in a wide variety of formats and in different studios, even at home.

KACIMI`s music immerses us in a contemporary and modern interpretation of French sixties pop, combining cinematic, yéyé, beat and poetic influences with psychedelic rhythm and blues, garage rock “n” roll and timeless love ballads that flirt with electronica.

Deux ans après Waiting for The Piano To Fall, Nick Wheeldon est de retour accompagné par The Living Paintings pour nous livrer un nouveau chapitre de sa discographie : Tadpoles.

Dans cet album aussi solaire que bouleversant, l’énergie collective du groupe irradie les compositions du songwriter britannique au talent sans frontières. Sans délaisser ses obsessions, toujours introspectif et profondément humaniste, Nick Wheeldon combine ici mélancolie et optimisme, entre espoir et nostalgie. Après plus d’un an de silence discographique, il n’aura pas fallu plus de sept jours à la formation pour mettre en boîte ces neufs nouveaux morceaux. Entièrement enregistré en analogique, agrémenté d’une section de cuivre, laissant part belle au saxophone et au violon ainsi qu’à une bonne dose d’improvisations, Tadpoles est à l’image de son auteur : une bouffée d’air frais dans un monde de plus en plus anxiogène et saturé d’artefacts qui se jouent de l’authenticité, ici retrouvée.

Two years after Waiting for The Piano To Fall, Nick Wheeldon is back, accompanied by The Living Paintings, to deliver a new chapter in his discography: Tadpoles.

In this album, as sunny as it is moving, the collective energy of the band radiates through the compositions of the British songwriter, whose talent knows no bounds. Without abandoning his obsessions, always introspective and deeply humanistic, Nick Wheeldon combines melancholy and optimism, hope and nostalgia. After more than a year of silence, it took the band just seven days to record these nine new tracks. Recorded entirely in analogue, enhanced by a brass section, giving pride of place to the saxophone and violin as well as a good dose of improvisation, Tadpoles is a reflection of its author: a breath of fresh air in an increasingly anxiety-inducing world saturated with artefacts that play on authenticity, which is rediscovered here.
