Hailing from Germany, Roaring 420s play a wild mix of psychedelia and surf music, with nods to Krautrock, folk and oriental music. These ingredients can be found on their new album, recorded with the band`s original line-up. They are a well-known live band who have toured extensively in Europe, the United States and Israel, sharing the stage with The Blank Tapes, Night Beats and White Fence.
Founded in 2010 by Florian Hohmann, Luisa Mühl and Martin Zerrenner, The Roaring 420s from Dresden, soon garnered an international following in the psychedelic scene. Their blend of various influences from the 60s is ranging from garage rock’n‘roll, bubble gum pop and surf to freakbeat and psychedelia, often topped off with a layer of vocal harmonies and sometimes a sitar.

Originaires de Dresde et fondés en 2010 par Florian Hohmann, Luisa Mühl et Martin Zerrenner, The Roaring 420s, ont rapidement acquis une renommée internationale sur la scène psychédélique. Mélangeant avec finesse, et dans des compositions originales, le garage 60`s, le freakbeat, le surf ou la pop bubble gum, The Roaring 420`s reviennent aujourd`hui avec un troisième album excitant, parsemé d`harmonies vocales et parfois de sitar. Avec le krautrock national dans le rétroviseur, les musiques orientales ou le folk anglais en toile de fond on retrouve dans ce nouvel opus, enregistré avec le line-up original, tous les ingrédients colorés qui ont fait le succès du groupe.

Le Superhomard dessine une production chatoyante et sunshine pop sur ce titre, dans la lignée Beach Boys, Air, Sterolab qui a fait son succès ses dernières années en France (France Inter, Inrocks, Rock&Folk..) ou en Angleterre notamment dans sa collaboration avec Paul Weller sur son dernier album. Kacimi (fondateur du label Le Pop Club et de The Rebels of Tijuana) continue ses expérimentations pop psychédéliques, en français dans le texte, soutenu par la presse européenne (Rock&Folk, France Inter, RTS, Shindig...).

Le Superhomard has created a shimmering, sunshine pop production on this track, in the Beach Boys, Air, Sterolab tradition that has made him a success in recent years in France (France Inter, Inrocks, Rock&Folk...) and in England, notably in his collaboration with Paul Weller on his latest album. Kacimi (founder of the Le Pop Club label and The Rebels of Tijuana) continues his psychedelic pop experiments, in French in the text, supported by the European press (Rock&Folk, France Inter, RTS, Shindig...).

En 2025, le chanteur genevois sortira son troisième album, intitulé « Amore Infinito ». Après deux essais plébiscités et playlistés par Libération, Rock & Folk, France Inter, Fip, Couleur 3 et la RTS, ce nouveau disque enregistré et produit par Yavor Lilov du groupe L’Éclair, porte les stigmates d’une direction nouvelle dans la musique de Romano Bianchi : plus limpide, franche et sensuelle, c’est une énergie contagieuse que défend son groupe, celle qui amalgame la sincérité de la musique folk aux grooves de la soul de la fin des 70’s. Le tout orné de textes toujours plus drôles, tristes, existentialistes et surtout, chantés depuis la batterie, s’il vous plait.
Cet album sera accompagné d’un EP « Live from the basement » enregistré et filmé depuis sa seconde maison : son local de répétition.

In 2025, the Genevan singer will release his third album, entitled “Amore Infinito”. After two acclaimed attempts, playlisted by Libération, Rock & Folk, France Inter, Fip, Couleur 3 and RTS, this new album, recorded and produced by Yavor Lilov of the group L`Éclair, bears the hallmarks of a new direction in Romano Bianchi`s music: clearer, franker and more sensual, his band defends an infectious energy, one that blends the sincerity of folk music with the grooves of late-70s soul. All of this is embellished by lyrics that are increasingly funny, sad, existentialist and, above all, sung from the drums, please.
This album will be accompanied by a “Live from the basement” EP, recorded and filmed in his second home: his rehearsal room.

Kacimi s`est enfermé pendant trois jours, en septembre 2024, dans le studio Back To Mono de Christian Hierro à Lyon pour une session live. Accompagné de son groupe, La Mécréance, ce nouvel opus a été enregistré sur un magnétophone 8 pistes dans les conditions d`un concert, doté d`un microphone par musicien et d`un couple d`ambiance pour capturer l`énergie et l`intensité du combo.
En utilisant des préamplis à lampes exceptionnels, Telefunken V71, V72, V76 et des anciens micros à ruban pour être au plus près du réel, ce nouvel album de Kacimi, "Mauvaise", composé de 9 titres, prend la forme d`une épopée sonique garage où les guitares "fuzz" occupent une place centrale. Kacimi propose ici une sélection de nouveaux titres ainsi que quelques morceaux familiers de son répertoire live.

‘Strive for depth, grain and the organic aspect of sound, while sublimating the timbres of the instruments.’
For three days in September 2024, Kacimi locked himself away in Christian Hierro`s Back To Mono studio in Lyon for a live session. Accompanied by his band, La Mécréance, this new opus was recorded on an 8-track tape recorder under concert conditions, with one microphone per musician and a couple of ambient speakers to capture the energy and intensity of the combo.
Using exceptional Telefunken V71, V72 and V76 tube preamps and old-fashioned ribbon mics to get as close to reality as possible, Kacimi`s new 9-track album, ‘Mauvaise’, takes the form of a sonic garage epic in which fuzz guitars take centre stage. Kacimi offers here a selection of new tracks as well as a few familiar ones from his live repertoire.

Après un premier single très garage, "Dernier Invité", sorti le mois dernier, Initials MB et Kacimi vous présentent aujourd`hui un deuxième single commun : "Aquarelle".
Sur "Aquarelle", folk song champêtre à l`anglaise, Kacimi s`adresse à une peinture avec amertume sur le temps passé. La pedal steel de Mat Davallet et l`orgue omni présent font de cette ballade pop très "late 60`s", un instantané nostalgique au cadre enchanteresque.
Enregistrés dans l`antre d`Initials MB, une maison du XVIII° perdue dans le Nord-Isère, ces deux titres ont cette saveur particulière d`une vie hors du temps à l`image des productions solos de ces deux artistes mêlant pop cinématique, psychédélisme ou garage.

After a very garagey first single, ‘Dernier Invité’, released last month, Initials MB and Kacimi now present a second joint single: ‘Aquarelle’.
On ‘Aquarelle’, an English-style country folk song, Kacimi addresses a bitter painting of the past. Mat Davallet`s pedal steel and the omnipresent organ make this very late 60s pop ballad a nostalgic snapshot in an enchanting setting.
Recorded in Initials MB`s lair, an eighteenth-century house lost in the Nord-Isère region, these two tracks have that special flavour of a life out of time, like the solo productions of these two artists, mixing cinematic pop, psychedelia and garage.

Accompagné de son groupe, La Mécréance, ce nouvel opus a été enregistré sur un magnétophone 8 pistes dans les conditions d`un concert, doté d`un microphone par musicien et d`un couple d`ambiance pour capturer l`énergie et l`intensité du combo.
En utilisant des préamplis à lampes exceptionnels, Telefunken V71, V72, V76 et des anciens micros à ruban pour être au plus près du réel, ce nouvel album de Kacimi, "Mauvaise", composé de 9 titres, prend la forme d`une épopée sonique garage où les guitares "fuzz" occupent une place centrale. Kacimi propose ici une sélection de nouveaux titres ainsi que quelques morceaux familiers de son répertoire live.

For three days in September 2024, Kacimi locked himself away in Christian Hierro`s Back To Mono studio in Lyon for a live session. Accompanied by his band, La Mécréance, this new opus was recorded on an 8-track tape recorder under concert conditions, with one microphone per musician and a couple of ambient speakers to capture the energy and intensity of the combo.
Using exceptional Telefunken V71, V72 and V76 tube preamps and old-fashioned ribbon mics to get as close to reality as possible, Kacimi`s new 9-track album, ‘Mauvaise’, takes the form of a sonic garage epic in which fuzz guitars take centre stage. Kacimi offers here a selection of new tracks as well as a few familiar ones from his live repertoire.

Hailing from Germany, Roaring 420s play a wild mix of psychedelia and surf music, with nods to Krautrock, folk and oriental music. These ingredients can be found on their new album, recorded with the band`s original line-up. They are a well-known live band who have toured extensively in Europe, the United States and Israel, sharing the stage with The Blank Tapes, Night Beats and White Fence.
Founded in 2010 by Florian Hohmann, Luisa Mühl and Martin Zerrenner, The Roaring 420s from Dresden, soon garnered an international following in the psychedelic scene. Après un premier single très garage, "Dernier Invité", sorti le mois dernier, Initials MB et Kacimi vous présentent aujourd`hui un deuxième single commun : "Aquarelle".
Sur "Aquarelle", folk song champêtre à l`anglaise, Kacimi s`adresse à une peinture avec amertume sur le temps passé. La pedal steel de Mat Davallet et l`orgue omni présent font de cette ballade pop très "late 60`s", un instantané nostalgique au cadre enchanteresque.
Enregistrés dans l`antre d`Initials MB, une maison du XVIII° perdue dans le Nord-Isère, ces deux titres ont cette saveur particulière d`une vie hors du temps à l`image des productions solos de ces deux artistes mêlant pop cinématique, psychédélisme ou garage.

After a very garagey first single, ‘Dernier Invité’, released last month, Initials MB and Kacimi now present a second joint single: ‘Aquarelle’.
On ‘Aquarelle’, an English-style country folk song, Kacimi addresses a bitter painting of the past. Mat Davallet`s pedal steel and the omnipresent organ make this very late 60s pop ballad a nostalgic snapshot in an enchanting setting.
Recorded in Initials MB`s lair, an eighteenth-century house lost in the Nord-Isère region, these two tracks have that special flavour of a life out of time, like the solo productions of these two artists, mixing cinematic pop, psychedelia and garage.
